Mizzi was awarded $46,779 and 288 points when he won a no-limit hold’em with rebuys preliminary event. This came just two days after he won a no-limit hold’em preliminary to take home $95,524 and 552 points. Mizzi has now made seven final tables in 2010, and he has won three poker tournaments during the first three months of the year. He trails only the eight final-table appearances and four tournament wins booked by Dwyte Pilgrim in each category. Pilgrim is currently in fourth place with 2,796 points, with Mizzi slightly ahead in the standings with 2,990 points in third place. The one new player to join the top 10 in the standings this week was EPT Snowfest main-event champion Allan Baekke. The Danish professional topped a field of 546 players to win $608,426 and 1,920 points. It was the second time this year that Baekke cashed in a POY event. He finished in second place in a no-limit hold’em preliminary at EPT Berlin and won $132,239 and 840 points. He now holds 2,760 points overall and he is now in fifth place in the standings.
