The first World Poker Tour event ever held in the Midwest of the United States began today at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A total of 143 players bought in to the $10,000 no-limit hold’em event and the total prize pool is $1,331,616. The top 12 players will walk away with prize money and the final table will take place on Wednesday, March 25. Here is a look at the official prize pool: 1st: $391,212 2nd: $222,040 3rd: $166,530 4th: $124,081 5th: $104,489 6th: $88,163 7th: $71,836 8th: $55,511 9th: $39,183 10th-12th: $22,857 The majority of the field survived on day 1, with 103 advancing to day 2 tomorrow, which begins at noon local time.
