Date JULY 27 2022
Day 3 at the 2010 Aussie Millions has come to a close at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. The $10,000 AUD no-limit hold’em tournament attracted 746 players overall, and just the final 18 are still in the race for the top prize worth $2 million. There were 83 players at the start of the day, and the top 72 players walked away with at least $15,000 (results are posted below). The final 18 will return tomorrow and play down to the final table. The Aussie Millions main event will crown a champion on Saturday, Jan. 30. Card Player will provide you with a daily summary at the end of play each day during this event. Two young professional stars are at the top of the leader board at the end of day 3, and they are Annette Obrestad (pictured right) — who holds 1,711,000 — and Sorel Mizzi Sorel Mizzi — who holds 1,695,000. The chip leader is currently Kosmas Dratsas, who holds 1,792,000. Other interesting storylines to keep an eye on include two players that have found recent success down under. Dan Shak (1,144,000) won the $100,000 challenge at the Aussie Millions on Jan. 24, and he will add a nice amount to the $1.2 million he won earlier in the week in the next two days. Elliot Smith (642,000) finished in third place in the Aussie Millions main event one year ago, and he took home $700,000. We will see if he can make the final table for a second year in a row tomorrow. Another professional to keep an eye on that remains in the tournament is Peter Jetten, who holds 642,000. Day 4 begins tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. local time tomorrow.
