Season six of the popular television show, High Stakes Poker will debut on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. EST on Game Show Network. The new season will air each subsequent Sunday at 8 p.m., with encore airings at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Leading up to the season six debut, GSN will air an eight-hour I Love Poker marathon that begins at noon and will feature highlights from past seasons of the show. Gabe Kaplan (pictured left) will return to host his sixth season of the show as an analyst. Joining him for hosting duties during season 6 will be new addition Kara Scott (pictured left) . She was the former host at European Poker Tour events and this will be her first season with the show. Scott has cashed in the World Series of Poker main event in each of the last two years, and she recently finished in second place at the Irish Open in Dublin. Season six will once again feature the top professional poker players in the world in a cash-game format and the minimum buy-in will be $200,000. Blinds will be $300-$600 with a $100 ante during the game. Season six of the show took place at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Downtown Las Vegas. Check out the Card Player TV preview of season six of High Stakes Poker : Check out the list of season six players below, which includes the some of the legends of the game and a number of talented young phenoms: Patrik Antonius David Benyamine Doyle Brunson Tom Dwan (pictured right) Eli Elezra Antonio Esfandiari Barry Greenstein Phil Hellmuth Andreas Hoivold Phil Ivey Mike Matusow Daniel Negreanu Dennis Phillips Lex Veldhuis Lex Veldhuis, Dennis Phillips, and Andreas Hoivold will all be making their first appearance on High Stakes Poker this season, while Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra, Antonio Esfandiari, Barry Greenstein, and Daniel Negreanu will all be returning for their sixth season on the show. Viewer interest may be most intensely focused on two High Stakes Poker sophomores, Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan. Ivey first appeared on season three and he returns this year. Dwan will return for his second year after debuting on the show last season. Dwan was involved in many of the big hands from last season, including the largest pot played straight up in the history of the show: Peter Eastgate (A K ) raised to open the hand and Barry Greenstein (A A ) reraised to 15,000 preflop. Dwan (K Q ) made the call as did Eastgate and the flop was dealt Q 4 2 . This induced Dwan and Greenstein to get involved in a battle of bets and raises while Eastgate got out of the way. It ended when Greenstein moved all in and Dwan made the call. After the two players revealed their hole cards and agreed to run it just once the turn and river were dealt Q and 7 . Dwan was awarded the pot worth $919,600.
