The 2011 World Series of Poker crowned yet another notable champion late Tuesday night at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This time around it was Jason Somerville and he achieved his first gold bracelet and $493,091 in prize money for topping a field of 3,175 players in Event No. 20 ($1,000 no-limit hold’em). Somerville had scored 11 cashes and more than $1 million in WSOP earning before his victory in the tournament, and now he can include a gold bracelet in his list of WSOP accolades at just 24 years of age. He increased his career earnings to $3,252,215 with his 14th career victory in the live and online arenas.The final table was a quick one, with play lasting just a little bit longer than five hours. The heads-up match mirrored the fast nature of the final day of this event. Somerville was dealt pocket aces and his heads-up opponent Yashar Dorian picked a poor time to move all-in preflop.
